How are we different?
Socially Responsible Investing
Within our portfolios, we believe investing in a socially responsive manner important. Consequently, we have integrated environmental, social and governance (ESG) considerations in our fund selections and many of our funds are UNPRI Signatories at a minimum. This means the funds submit their investment process on an annual basis for assessment of their ESG strategy and this strengthens their investment decisions.
As a signatory to the PRI, Fund Managers have committed to adopt and implement principles which were developed by investors, for investors.
The following factors generally represent the ESG considerations, but are not exhaustive: Environment:
• Carbon emissions
• Energy use
• Environmental policies and risk management
• Health and safety
• Modern slavery
• Stakeholder relations
• Board composition
• Executive remuneration and incentives
• Anti-competitive practices
